Susan Reed
Editor in Chief
My Pick: Lorena Ochoa.

Why: Her game is one level above the other players.

Stina Sternberg
Senior Editor
My Pick: Annika Sorenstam.

Why: Go ahead, call me a stubborn, foolish patriot who just won't let the glory days of the phenomenal Swede go — this is actually an educated guess. The obvious choice may be Lorena Ochoa, but the world's no. 1 has had some serious problems at Mission Hills in the past and will, I predict, buckle on the home stretch even if she starts out strong this week. Sorenstam, on the other hand, has won here several times before and is ready to make a major comeback statement. She has four top-10s in four starts this year, including a win at the SBS Open, and she began her season earlier than in years past, so she's in better form than she's ever been going into the Nabisco. We all know 2008 could be her last hurrah, and she wants to take the ceremonial winner's jump into that filthy pond on 18 more than anyone else. I just hope she doesn't swallow the water.

Executive Editor
My Pick: Lorena Ochoa.

Why: Of course!!! Because she can. She wouldn't mind adding another major to her tally of one.

Dave Allen
Senior Editor - Instruction
My Pick: Lorena Ochoa

Why: It's about as easy as writing in Tiger Woods' name these days. Dating back to last year's ADT Championship, she's won three of her last four LPGA starts. And now that the pressure of never having won a major is off, she just might be primed for a Tiger-like win streak of her own.

Debbie McHugh
Managing Editor

My Pick: Lorena Ochoa

Why: I wish I could pick a dark horse, but Lorena has the momentum following her decisive win at the Safeway International last week.

Ashley Mayo
Associate Editor
My Pick: Lorena Ochoa

Why: I hate to jump on the band wagon, but I'm going with Lorena. By now, she's had a ton of experience being in the last group on Sunday and has learned to handle the pressure well. Plus, having won a major, she's already stated (loud and clear) that she's The (with a capital T) force to be reckoned with.

Merv Garretson
Art Director
My Pick: Christina Kim.

Why: She has three top-10 finishes in four starts this year. She was close once last year. She's ready for a signature win, like, seriously ready. Plus, where does it say we have to pick Lorena every time?

Argy Koutsothanasis
Fashion Director
My Pick: Paula Creamer.

Why: While she struggled last week at the Safeway, she's had a strong start this season. She T12 in the season-opener SBS Open, won the Fields Open in February, and finished third in last month's HSBC Women's Champions. She also finished in the top 15 at last year's Kraft Nabisco.

Renee Bundi
Editorial Production Director
My Pick: Lorena Ochoa.

Why: She just won the Safeway International, and I think she seems more steady. There was so much pressure on her last year to win a major that I think it affected her game. Winning the British Open gave her the confidence she needed.

Sara Wolski
Assistant Editor

My Pick: Annika Sorenstam.

Why: Despite her quiet confidence and calm, I think she's ready for a good challenge and will fight a tough game without backing down. Her calculated strategy on the field could once again propel her to victory, particularly when combined with her fierce determination.

Alena Bubniak
Web Editor
My Pick: Karrie Webb.

Why: She's hot and cold right now (fifth-place finish at HSBC Women's champions, missed the cut at last week's Safeway). Still, she did win this championship in 2000 and beat Lorena Ochoa in a playoff in 2006.
