Travel Deals of the Week
The big game is over, but you can play your own at one of these desert oases.
By Tara Gravel February 5, 2008
- Has watching Sunday's hotly-contested Super Bowl in Arizona left you clamoring for a desert retreat? Desert golf provides contrasts and challenges that you can't find anywhere else (jumping Cholla, anyone?). Here are deals at four Southwestern hotspots where you can heat up your game in style.
2
- The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, Tucson, Arizona
- Golf Getaway Package
- Details: The package includes suite accommodations and one round per person, per day on either the Mountain (shown left), which ranks 16th on Golf for Women's Top 50 Courses, or the Canyon.
What You'll Love: This boutique, all-suite resort has miles of hiking trails on its 600 acres. Plus, The Lodge will work with groups to create special packages.
Cost: From $499 to $569 per room, per night through Mother's Day (May 11). Service charge and taxes are additional. The rate drops considerably in May.

They're now a much more pleasant experience for the rest of us, too.
